We’re rounding off the year with a smile, as our most recent Pocket Living residents have now moved into West Green Place N17 in Haringey and Varcoe Road SE16 in Southwark. Our customer care team has been working around the clock to get almost 200 city makers settled in by Christmas, and despite some hitches along the way (which happen with any new build), they have made sure that this festive season is a cheerful one! Read on to find out more.
West Green Place N17
A real community has been established at West Green Place N17, which has 126 homes and a striking community centre and nursery designed by Dyvik Kahlen Architects. The cafes, playgrounds, and sports pitches of Downhills Park are right on its doorstep, and Turnpike Lane and Seven Sisters stations nearby connect residents to the rest of London.
Some of the homes feature fantastic views of the park, and if you look closely, you may even spot local landmark Alexandra Palace. Rumour has it this will be a great vantage point for Bonfire Night fireworks in years to come.
Varcoe Road SE16
Varcoe Road SE16 has 57 affordable homes spread over 7 floors in Southwark, with stunning views over London. It’s near the hustle and bustle of Peckham, Deptford, New Cross, Surrey Quays, and Bermondsey, and when residents return home from exploring, they can take advantage of several roof terraces, a sun room, and a co-working space in the building.
All the residents in this building are first time buyers, so we expect that friendships will form very quickly. In fact, some of the neighbours already knew each other before moving in, such as Charlotte and Anne, who are former flatmates. Now they can live in the same building whilst also having their own space – a win-win!
It’s exciting times for these new home owners, and we’re ready to get cracking to making home ownership a reality for many new city makers in the new year! You can see all our upcoming developments here, and you can register with Pocket Living to begin your own journey to owning a Pocket Living home.
